Immy Nakyeyune

Immy Nakyeyune is the founder and Team Lead of Mkazipreneur, a social enterprise and community platform established in 2018 to support women entrepreneurs with the skills, tools, and resources needed to succeed in their businesses.

Beyond supporting existing entrepreneurs, Mkazipreneur also supports unemployed women to launch small income-generating businesses, fostering economic inclusion and resilience. Under Immy’s leadership, Mkazipreneur has achieved remarkable milestones. Through strategic funding and impactful partnerships, the organization has trained over 10,000 women entrepreneurs, many on a pro bono basis. Mkazipreneur has successfully transformed non-tech-enabled, women-led SMEs into technology-driven businesses while connecting them to vital capital and market opportunities.

As of 2024, Mkazipreneur has unlocked over $1,000,000 in seed funding for women-owned businesses within the community. Mkazipreneur’s client portfolio includes organizations such as the Mastercard Foundation, GIZ African Union, USAID, UN Women, and other forward-thinking institutions dedicated to fostering innovation and development. Immy is a passionate advocate for gender equality, equity, and women’s empowerment through entrepreneurship.

Her expertise spans performance management, business development, business modeling, investment readiness, and community development. Recognized for her impactful work, Immy has been featured in leading international media, including CNN, further amplifying her mission to champion women-led change.
